This New Year’s Eve, Sentosa - The State of Fun will be bustling with celebratory activities across the island’s hotels, dining establishments and attractions. The 11th edition of Singapore’s only beach countdown party – Siloso Beach Party 2017, will also be held from 6.00pm on 31 December 2017 to 6.00am on 1 January 2018.

As the volume of vehicular traffic is expected to be higher than usual, with limited parking lots available on the island, party revellers and guests visiting Sentosa are encouraged to enter the island by public transport and use Sentosa’s network of island transportation during this festive period.

Use Public Transport and Connect to Sentosa’s Island Transportation
Guests are advised to take the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) or public buses to HarbourFront MRT Station. From there, they can connect to the Sentosa Express monorail located on Level 3 of VivoCity (next to Food Republic) and alight at Beach Station. An Island Admission fee of $4.00 per person is applicable per person for guests entering the island via the Sentosa Express. Guests may also opt to tap and go with their EZLink cards. The Sentosa Express will operate from 7.00am on 31 December 2017 to 1.00am on 1 January 2018, after which the monorail will resume services at 6.30am on 1 January 2018.

Bus Service 123 offers Greater Convenience into Sentosa
Guests can also take SBS Transit’s Bus Service 123 into Sentosa. Service 123 terminates at Beach Station and provides a direct connection to the resort island from multiple points in the central region of mainland Singapore, including major MRT stations such as Tiong Bahru, Orchard, and Fort Canning stations. In addition, Service 123 calls at other stops within Sentosa, including Resorts World Sentosa and Merlion Plaza, making travel within Sentosa easier.

From Bukit Merah Bus Interchange, Service 123 operates from 5.45am to 11.45pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and from 6.00am to 11.45pm on Sundays and Public Holidays. For guests taking the bus from Sentosa’s Beach Station Bus Terminal, Service 123 operates from 6.00am to 11.45pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and from 6.15am to 11.45pm on Sundays and Public Holidays.

In addition, there will be outbound bus services between Beach Station and HarbourFront Bus Interchange available from 6.00pm on 31 December 2017 to 8.00am on 1 January 2018.

Meanwhile, guests heading to Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) may choose to board the RWS 8 bus service from the bus stops outside VivoCity and HarbourFront Station. The fare for this inbound bus service is $1.00 per person, and it will run from 5:45am on 31 December 2017 to 2.30am on 1 January 2018.

Free Entry via Sentosa Boardwalk
Guests can also choose to take a scenic stroll into Sentosa via the Sentosa Boardwalk, where admission is complimentary for all guests.

Experience a Scenic Sky Ride to Siloso Beach
With the Singapore Cable Car Sky Network, guests have another convenient option of accessing Siloso Beach by hopping on the Mount Faber cable car line from Faber Peak Singapore or HarbourFront Centre into Sentosa. Guests can then get on the intra-island Sentosa Line at the Merlion Station or Imbiah Station for a scenic ride to Siloso Point Station.

Guests who wish to ride on both the Mount Faber and Sentosa lines are able to buy the Cable Car Sky Pass at $33 for adults and $22 for children. Alternatively, they can purchase the Sentosa Line ticket for $13 for adults and $8 for children, and start their ride from the Merlion Station to the Siloso Point Station. The Sentosa Line of Singapore Cable Car Sky Network operates from 8.45am to 10.00pm (Last boarding at 9.30pm), and the Mount Faber Line operates from 8.45am to 1.00am (Last boarding at 12.30am).

Intra-island Bus Services on Sentosa
For guests visiting other parts of Sentosa, two on-island bus services, Bus A – Westbound and Bus B – Eastbound, operate from 7.00am – 12.10am daily to allow guests to stay on the island for night events and programmes, as well as connect with the last Sentosa Express train.
  • Bus A - Westbound serves the central precincts of Sentosa including Imbiah Lookout, Siloso Point, Merlion Plaza and RWS every 7-15 minutes.
  • Bus B - Eastbound serves the Eastern part of Sentosa, covering Sentosa Cove, Sentosa Golf Club and EtonHouse Sentosa every 20-35 minutes.
