Foodies, satisfy your hunger pangs with a delicious plate of tender Chicken Mid-Wings cooked with melt-in-the-mouth Bitter Gourds in a rich oyster sauce concoction, and served with a bowl of fragrant Jasmine rice. It's juicy, it's soft, and it's mouth-watering!
Followers of Luxury Haven would have seen and some probably already tried cooking our Award-Winning Healthy Bitter Gourd Chicken Dish, a Winner in the Tasty Healthy Recipes Contest organized by SingHealth. The two ingredients run and swirl together, amplifying each other's flavour is indeed a winning combination.
I am humbled to have #ShareFoodSG featuring this recipe and producing this awesome video! Let's hear what they have to say, "We got our hands on Shirley Tay's award winning recipe, Braised Bitter Gourd with Chicken 苦瓜焖鸡翼, and was amazed with the taste combination! The bittergourd were soft, yet crunchy, with a 'not so over-powering' bitterness which would have put us off. The enticing flavours of sesame oil, Chinese cooking wine, black sauce and oyster sauce complements the strong bold flavours of the bitter gourd which is infused into the tender chicken meat. Lovely." So, are you game enough to try? Let's cook it!
Over here at Luxury Haven, you can find 2 versions of this Mouth-Watering Bitter Gourd Chicken Dish. One with AMC Cookware with half the cooking time shortened, and the other using the conventional wok method cooking 1 whole chicken:

yes, I'm game to try it! I didn't try Chinese wine yet, but I bet that chicken cooked in it must be great. Spices are always good. Chicken is a neutral kind of meat so we can get creative with spices and that's always fun.
ReplyDeleteMy niece made me smile yesterday. She is almost two and she loves to eat chicken. Every time she sees a bird, whether a live one or an illustration, she says: "Yummy, yummy ko-ko!". ( In Croatian the world for chicken is kokosh, so she calls it ko-ko).
It sounds really delicious!
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds delicious!!!
