What do you say to a relaxing massage to reduce fatigue during your travels? Conveniently located on Level 8 of Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo's South Tower is Carju Rajah Esthetique Salon ( カージュラジャ エステティックサロン ), a tranquil space for healing and deep relaxation in the heart of the city.
Do you know that body massages encourage blood circulation that helps improve the appearance of our skin tone as well as the health of our skin? I love indulging in body massages, and during my recent stay at Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo to review their Hello Kitty Rooms, a spa session had been kindly arranged at the Carju Rajah Esthetique Salon.
A cosy corner greeted arriving guests with comfy seats while waiting to be served. As with other spas, you will be asked to fill up a questionnaire, a pretty standard procedure.
Carju Rajah has lockers for your shoes, as well as for your personal belongings. The areas are clean, tidy, and rather organized.
The body treatments at Carju Rajah includes a 30-min sauna / vital spa. I'm not a fan of sauna and since I've already had my shower in the hotel room, I skipped that. Their vital spa caught my attention though; I was pretty impressed by the size of it.
I also spotted a vanity area on my way to the massage rooms. Guests after their treatments can beautify themselves with their range of skincare products before heading off.
I was led to a spacious massage room. It wasn't anything fanciful, just a simple non-decorated room but most importantly, it has a cosy feel.
Carju Rajah uses modernized traditional medical therapy from all over the world to create their very own unique holistic program. My therapist was gentle and skilful, with right amount of pressure applied at the right place. The session was on the whole holistically relaxing with the use of their sunflower oil.
Carju Rajah’s original treatment is based on traditional medical theory, and their massage prices start from ¥19,200 (60 mins) for hotel guests. For guests who like to enhance their overall well-being, you may like to know that facial services are also provided at the spa.
As it was Hello Kitty's 40th Anniversary, I was kindly treated with a bag of tasty #HelloKitty pastries! Thank you #CarjuRajah, for the pampering session and the sweet gesture!
