Assorted Vegetables With Chinese Herbs

Vegetarians, here’s one healthy & nutritious dish for you. This is one of the 7 courses that I’d prepared for my overseas guest two weeks ago.

Besides having lots of vitamins in this vegetarian dish, you’ll also get medicinal benefits from:
cooking vegetables with chinese herbs
  • Wolfberry (枸杞子) - commonly consumed to promote good eyesight.
  • Ginkgo Nuts (銀杏) - known to relieve persistent cough & wheezing.
  • Wood-ear Mushroom/Black Fungus (黑木耳) - particularly aids in nourishing the lungs, stomach, liver & rich in iron content.

  4. Thank you for the lovely recipe. I say with all respect, that chicken broth is not vegetarian. I understand that we can substitute vegetable broth but if you're going to address vegetarians in your post, you should recognize that we don't use chicken broth. Thank you.

  5. @ Marilyn: Of course, I must've missed that out being non vegetarian :) Thks so much for pointing out & I've already amended to vegetable stock. You have a great week ahead!
