Grilled Calamari Salad Recipe with PurelyFresh Rocket Leaves

Salad lovers, you are in for a healthy tasty treat with these succulent Grilled Calamari on a bed of aromatic greens! Using the scoring method, the fresh squids curled up into pretty treats waiting to be devoured.

Guess what? For convenience, I put the squids on the Kenwood Sandwich Maker using the griddle plate for making Panini, and it worked like a charm!

Dress the Grilled Calamari and Wild Rocket aka Arugula in a light olive oil salad dressing with garlic and lemon juice and they are good to go!

Ingredients:
3 Medium Squids / Sotong ( 乌贼 )
40g Wild Rocket
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Lemon Zest
Pinch of Salt

Method:

  • Clean squid and remove skin and unwanted parts.
  • purelyfresh sotong scoring to make patterns on squid
  • Cut squid into equal slices. Learn How To Score Squids To Make Patterns!

  15. I don't eat calamari because of health reasons, but I love preparing any type of sea food.... and I often prepare calamari when I have guests coming for lunch. I really like your recipe, I especially like how you showed us how to cut the calamari so that it curls while frying. I just showed this post to my husband and he says he wants me to prepare it for him, but not today...I have been cooking and baking all today for this evening because we will celebrate at home.
