arteastiq hot oolong osmanthus tea review
Be tantalized by the kaleidoscope of colours and flavours of special concocted teas as they take centre stage at the newly-opened Arteastiq on Level 3 of Plaza Singapura. Well, I wasn't any bit surprised when I indulged in my first sip; after all #Arteastiq is a boutique tea house that has long standing for its critically acclaimed tea and savouries and all-day Breakfast and Brunch at their Mandarin Gallery outlet since 2010.

singapore boutique tea house arteastiq plaza singapura review
Arteastiq has won over taste buds and tea fanatics countrywide since its opening by being the first in Singapore to provide such a luxurious and elaborate tea experience. Besides serving their signature teas, Arteastiq is also out to woo diners with its whimsical menu of dishes made on the spot using only the freshest ingredients.

Stretching across 1,800 square feet, the ambiance at Arteastiq is redefined by an unmistakeable modern European flair setting the mood with award-winning standard interior design including designer furniture from Marxx.

singapore tea house arteastiq art jamming studio
Your palate desire begins with the welcoming long counter fronting the cafe. Flanked by an indoor art jam studio that seats 24 pax, the place suggests the perfect gambit for art jamming and food.

With different distinct dining areas accommodating 68 pax, take pleasure indulging in their main dining hall or in the intimate section with plush lounge seats offering views of lush greenery.

Our private food tasting session at Arteastiq Plaza Singapura commenced with these exotic teas:
arteastiq signature fruit teas iced lychee tea
arteastiq fruit teas iced pear tea review
arteastiq hot oolong osmanthus tea review
Iced Lychee Tea, Iced Peach Tea and Hot Oolong Osmanthus Tea at SGD 11 each. While the two fruit teas surpassed our expectation with both their lovely presentation and natural sweetness from the fruits, the Oolong Osmanthus Tea with wolfberries was nothing to shout about other than offering health benefits.

arteastiq signature fruit teas iced lychee tea review
Of the three, the pleasantly stimulating Lychee Tea got a unanimous vote from my family. Coupled with a dust of rose powder, the scented tea is refreshing and highly addictive.

arteastiq best mushroom soup truffle oil review
" The Best Mushroom Soup In The World " at SGD 12 caught my eye with their provocative name in their bespoke menu. "This better be good", I thought to myself.

A strong whiff of truffle floated in the air as the soup was served. Sadly, it did not turned out as we had envisaged; it was not exactly my cup of " tea " except for their generous dosage of truffle oil. The soup arrived in a pale colour which did not take my fancy. Personally, we found the potage too milky for our liking and lacked the mushroomy tang.

arteastiq nordic lights soba salad review
Nordic Lights – Soba Salad at SGD 16 shines in the ‘ The Lighter Sides of Love ’. The salad is fresh and crisp, and points have to be given for building the pita shell and nestling the salad into it creating a picturesque sight.

arteastiq nordic lights soba salad smoked salmon review
Each bite into the combination of greens, smoked salmon, and soba noodles provides a forkful of flavour accentuated by the Asian vinaigrette although more dressing at the side would be perfect for those who require more.

arteastiq aphrodite crabcake benedict smoked paprika hollandaise
Aphrodite-Crabcake Benedict at SGD 25 is nothing like the ones you would have at Thai restaurants. These western-style Maryland Crab Cakes are very popular in the United States, and are typically breaded and deep-fried.

arteastiq aphrodite crab cake benedict review poached eggs
Served on a French Brioche and topped with poached egg plus a dollop of smoked paprika hollandaise, it is a different twist from the usual Asian crab cakes we have. It is more like eating a crabmeat burger, which makes a hearty breakfast or brunch diet.

arteastiq louisiana love chicken waffles review
Healthy pile of greens with delightful chicken bites under a whole-wheat waffle is the Arteastiq's Louisiana Love – Chicken And Waffles at SGD 22. The pan-fried dredged buttermilk tender chicken meat, cloaked in breadcrumbs for extra crunch, is a healthy choice that is served with red vegetable slaw and Arteastiq’s own improvisation of margarine, a tasty maple butter.

arteastiq summer in provence foie gras review
Never leave Arteastiq without trying their Summer in Provence – Foiegras Et Oeuf En Cocotte at SGD 28. Perfectly seared on the exterior with a crisp and melt-in-your-mouth interior, the combination with Baked Egg and Demiglace makes this delicacy a must-try.

arteastiq beijing dynasty duck pancake review wild rockets
Beijing’s Dynasty – Duck Pancake at SGD 28 is a unique concoction from the ‘ Gentleman’s Dinner ’ section, with pieces of duck confit enveloped in a pancake wrap. The saltiness from the succulent meat and sweetness from the orange caramel, paired with a handful of Arugula leaves give the dish an intense flavour. Mmm……. Perhaps a touch of freshly ground black pepper may give the duck pancake a peppery lift.

arteastiq boston love boat ciponio seafood review
Excite your palate with this Boston Love Boat – Ciponio at SGD 29, a seafood and saffron stew topped with a light puff pastry covering the soup bowl. Diners will find a pocket of succulent crustaceans and fish inside the puff pastry submerged in a tangy tomato sauce. I would have given it a 5 star if it was more juicy.

arteastiq french affection ribeye black angus beef review
You will get a 230gm New Zealand Black Angus Beef for the French Affection-Ribeye at SGD 35, accompanied by a handsome delicious portion Sweet Potato Fries, Root Vegetables and Béarnaise Poached Egg. While the steak was searing in all of the flavourful juices with a nice charred exterior, it was underdone as I had requested for a medium-well steak. Such a pity!

arteastiq prince monte carlo short ribs croque monsieur
The Prince Of Monte Carlo – Short Ribs Croque Monsieur at SGD 28 is a 24-hour short rib prepared to perfection before being stacked into this combination with brioche, cheddar and rocket leaves. However, we found the beef a tad too dry although the dish is enlivened by a fried egg where diners can choose to break the egg yolk to combat the dryness of the beef. I would prefer to have a sauce at the side to enhance the appetite.

arteastiq whirling mist lemon meringue tarte ice cream
As we had an overwhelming array of dishes, we only ordered one dessert to share. The Whirling Mist at SGD 12 came highly recommended as we wanted something not too heavy. The Lemon Meringue Tarte, with our choice of Champagne Vanilla ice-cream, played a piquant melody with a delightful sourish tinge; definitely a refreshing seductive treat. "The Lemon Meringue Tarte with Champagne Vanilla Ice-cream was damned good!" exclaimed my son. Need I say more?

Our Thoughts:

arteastiq boutique tea house menu main course
We like the charming menu which is divided into two segments: ‘ Ladies' Affairs ’ and ‘Gentleman's Dinner’. It was conceived in the idea of having foods specifically engineered for both genders, with the ladies preferring lighter and more sophisticated items such as Louisiana Love – Chicken And Waffles and Summer in Provence - Foiegras and the gentlemen choosing more straight-forward and robust dishes like The French Connection – Striploin.

While there were hits and misses, we truly appreciate the fast and efficient service and the effort in going way out to please diners with their food presentation and ambience. Although the food is artistically presented, we felt that they will need to work more on the taste and texture since food must taste as good as it looks. Precision of timing like how to better gauge the doneness of the steaks is crucial. Since the outlet is new, I am sure they will catch on quickly as time passes to win more followers.

Dishes at Arteastiq are modestly portioned. We found that most dishes come with an abundant of salad mix, giving diners a well-balanced meal packed with antioxidants and vitamins.

Arteastiq offers tea connoisseurs a symphony of thirst-quenching teas with flavours that linger on the palate. It is a great place to chill out with family and friends.

  31. Shirley, your picturesque encapsulations and from-the-heart reviews of the places you visit (and EAT) are a joy! (Also enjoyed your son's unabashed opinion about the Lemon Meringue Tarte. :) How cool that you got to express yourself with paint, too. (My daughter recently attended and painted her first picture at a similar venue.) Creativity abounds! I'm sure this establishment will take your review into consideration. You know "good food" from mediocre, and there are good things going on here, with a few tweaks. Loved the decor, "iced fruit teas" and overall concept!
