Stir-Fried Taucheo Chicken with Green Chillies ( 豆酱鸡丁炒青椒 )

stir fried fermented bean paste chicken green chilli
Taucheo, or otherwise known as Fermented Bean Paste or Soybean Paste, is a very popular ingredient in the Asian Cuisine. Usually salty, but may be spicy, taucheo is used for dishes or soups like the Japanese miso soup.

豆酱鸡丁炒青椒
The Stir-Fried Taucheo Chicken with Green Chillies ( 豆酱鸡丁炒青椒 ) that I am introducing today is relatively easy to cook and it is certainly very tasty. Green chillies are not as spicy, but with the addition of these chillies, they give the dish a little heat as well as a punch of fragrance in the succulent chicken cubes. In Singapore, Indian families like to keep a bunch of green chillies at hand to flavour their cooking. What about you?

  6. Good cooking idea, especially when I am out of idea what to cook, but my kids do not take hot stuff yet, I will have to opt out the green chili probably replace with capsicum.

  21. For a moment I thought it's green pepper - capsicum you have added, but it's really green chillies. This is really something new to me, I thought these green chillies can only be found in Indian Rojak or Malay Mee Rebus, and Chinese usually have it seasoned. Worth experimenting with it....
