Fassler Smoked Salmon and Sausage Pita with Truffle Oil

mission pita sausage with philadelphia cheese recipe
#Pita is extremely popular in many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines. Baked to perfection, they’re a great pocket to fill your favourite ingredients or dippings.

etna italian pizza crust mascarpone cheese truffles review
Sometime ago, hubby and I had the tastiest flat bread, the Schiacciata al Tartufo e Mascarpone, during one of my food tasting sessions at ETNA Italian Restaurant. The warm bread was filled with creamy Mascarpone Cheese and Truffles! It was truly delightful, and I've been looking forward to replicate the appetizer since.

fassler gourmet marinated salmon recipe ideas
I happened to have some #Philadelphia Cheese in the fridge and frozen Marinated Salmon from #Fassler Gourmet, so I bought a packet of Mission Pita Bread, some greens and sausages to experiment with.

Although I didn't have Black Truffles and Mascarpone Cheese, I substituted with Truffle Oil and Philadelphia Cheese instead. Of course the result couldn't beat the one at #Etna, but it's very flavourful with all the fillings and cheese, and smell really good with the truffle oil. This easy-to-do Smoked Salmon and Sausage Pita can be eaten as breakfast, or as a meal by itself!

  5. Simple, delicious and filling! I'm a huge fan of smoked salmon and I love combining it with everything! Lots of strange bits too like white onion and jam! I've been to their factory here in singapore and they really do everything themselves! I'm glad to have a factory just here and so their smoked salmon has the softness texture because it's not been traveling and in storage as long as other brands!

    1. Sharlynn, I've to admit Fassler Gourmet outlet has quite a handful of seafood to shop. I've yet to try with jam since I don't have sweet tooth, but it sounds good too!
