Today, I shall introduce you to a very simple recipe for the novice cooks. #Bruschetta, an Italian antipasto, is a popular grilled bread with tomatoes and olive oil etc.

I would usually chop up tomatoes and mix with vinaigrette and parsley, sometimes with garlic added. This time, I had added Champignon Mushrooms with Carbonara sauce spread on Ciabatta, sliced my cherry tomatoes and topped with my favourite Truffle Oil. Can you smell it from here?

Ingredients:
2 Ciabatta
5 large Champignon Mushrooms (Button Mushrooms)
150g Cherry Tomatoes
100g #Prego Carbonara Sauce
1 tsp Parsley flakes
2 tbsp Mozzarella Cheese
2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
1 tbsp Italian Bread Crumbs
Truffle Oil for toppings

Method:

  • Cut ciabatta into halves and spread sauce on them.

  • Cut tomatoes and button mushrooms into slices.

  • Lay the tomatoes and mushrooms on the bread. Top with cheese, parsley and breadcrumbs.

  • Grill till golden brown or about 5 mins according to your oven temperature. Drizzle truffle oil and enjoy your crispy Champignon Mushroom Bruschetta!

  20. Isn't truffle oil expensive? I don't know about S'pore; it's rather pricey in the grocery stores here. =(

    On the contrary, it is a fulfilling dish and certainly a health alternative to pizza. =3

    1. Ciana, it's more expensive than olive oil for sure, but there are different grades. You can always go for the cheaper ones for a start. Truffle oil adds a lovely musky scent to food!
