Our trip to Gardens By The Bay was totally unplanned. We had a Sponsored Staycation at Naumi Hotel last month, and our son had to leave us for a school outing the next morning after breakfast at the hotel. So hubby and I walked him to the City Hall MRT Station, and the idea of dropping by the new attraction popped up.

Gardens By The Bay was just few stations away from #Naumi Hotel, and a stone's throw away from the Marina Bay Sands. A stroll after breakfast will certainly do us some good. However, hubby and I soon regretted our decision after reaching our destination cause the sun was baking the earth with a vengence. With no hats, no hair-tie, shades nor umbrella, it was a bad move.

It was a pity we only spent less than an hour there. The sun was too hot, and I could feel my dark spots popping out of my face anytime without sufficient sunscreen protection. I'll be back, but I'll try returning in the evening. I heard the night scene is equally stunning.

Have you been to Gardens By The Bay?

  • Alight at Marina Bay MRT Station (NS27/CE2).

  11. The gardens are looking lovely. We visited almost a year ago and the plants were just starting to grow. I was thinking it wouldn't take long for this tropical climate to see loads of green.

  21. I have been dying to visit this Gardens By The Bay but all my trips were so rush and hectic until I miss it. Even the Princess of Thailand flew in just to admire and appreciate this unique and beautiful place. Singapore's govt is blessed to have a good Ministry of Environment.

I will heed your advice to stroll there in the evening till dark to see the night view.
