At Bud of Joy Bakery & Store, you can be assured that all goods are baked from scratch using artisan methods from wholesome ingredients. Hence, their breads & cakes need to go into the freezer if not consumed in two days to maintain their quality! The expiry dates are critical as these are unique & good products with no preservatives. Short Shelf Life, but they’re proud of it!

Let’s take a look at what they’ve to offer:

budofjoy organic orange chiffon cake
For those who want less sugar & no chemicals, Bud of Joy’s Organic Chiffon Cake @ SGD 15.50 is for you! Rare chemical-free cake made with NO baking powder & NO emulsifiers, but still rises well because of skill & pure hard work.

And there’s NO colouring too! Only 60g of sugar in one whole cake. Thumbs-up to this wonderfully orange-scented cake, so soft & fluffy! But if Orange is not your favourite choice, they also have it in the Lemon flavour.

budofjoy organic spelt bread walnut raisin
The Organic 100% Wholemeal Spelt Bread (Walnut Raisin) @ SGD 11 a loaf is the star of their breads. Suitable for those with mild gluten-intolerance, this healthy loaf made fully from wholegrain spelt flour with ingredients like Certified Organic Raw Honey, will surely tempt you with their generous fillings of walnut & raisins.

budofjoy organic wholemeal walnut bread review
Not many appreciate wholegrain breads. Though healthy, most are coarse & hard to eat. Interestingly, these slices of Organic 100% Wholewheat Walnut Bread @ SGD 8.60 a loaf are amazingly soft & delicious with crunchy bite-size walnuts. NO sugar, only sweetened with organic raw honey. * No white flour; suitable for those with diabetes.

budofjoy organic almond butter
If you like to add more flavour to these slices of wholewheat bread, try spreading some artisan Organic Almond Butter @ SGD 14/bottle on them. Ground on the spot from nutritious freshly toasted organic almonds; thick & rich as a spread for bread/biscuits. A healthy alternative to your usual peanut butter. And if you prefer Cashew or Brazil nuts instead, simply email them to turn your favourite nuts into butter!

budofjoy organic chocolate chip cookies review
One of the popular items over at Bud of Joy Bakery & Store is their Organic Chocolate Chip Cookies @ SGD 13.80 for a 200g pack. High-quality organic dark chocolate are used here & NO added sugar during baking. Sweetened with nutritious blackstrap molasses.

budofjoy organic muesli, oats, raw honey
For nut lovers, here’s a treat for you! Made with a delightful variety of organic nuts & oats, the Organic Muesli @ SGD 9 for a 150g pack is freshly toasted, tasty & crunchy. No corn syrup; sweetened only with organic raw honey, not refined white sugar.

budofjoy organic bakery shopping cart
Shopping at Bud of Joy is a breeze. I went on to pick what I wanted online, click on ‘Order Now’ to add the items to my cart. When I’m done, I clicked on ‘My Orders’ to see all my items & continued to key in my details & select the collection date, then hit the button to submit my orders. As all goods are freshly baked, 3 days advanced notice is needed. Rating: ★★★★★

  5. This is really a very good post.

Awareness of availability of such healthy foods has to be increased. The fact that such food stuffs can be prepared without in any way compromising the taste factor is good news. The common complaint that people make about organic healthy foods is that they are expensive and not very tasty.

You could have added something about the health aspects of eating organic foods. Hats off to you for promoting healthy dishes like this.

Thank you so much for the beautiful comment on my blog.

It was nice to hear that you have visited India and had plans to visit Kerala too. Well, you are welcome to this southern most part of India, the God's own country anytime :)

Many airlines fly here, Silkair has direct flights to Kochi (Cochin / Ernakulam). So just catch one and relax, njoy your flight, apply loads of sunscreen and we welcome your envoy here, thats it, cool !:)

Tajmahal is a very romantic place ! Hope you had taken plenty of snaps. Post it asap, if you had already posted send me a link.

    1. Rajiv, thanks again for your thoughts & kind words! I've to admit price is a concern, just like those vegetables in the supermart; a simple broccoli can be more than 5 times the price of a normal one.....

Love the Taj! Took a lot of shots & have been wanting to write about it, but just can't find time :<

A large number of bloggers do not keep track of what is happening in the blogs they follow and lack the knack of keeping the rapport alive with their readers. Some do not bother to visit other blogs. You are an exception, all the best !

I wish you more number of fans very fast !
