hard rock cafe penang family fun
With RM250 credit given to us, let’s take a look at what we can order from their casual American fare:

hard rock cafe penang wildberry smoothie
Kick off the meal with the café’s list of fanciful alcohol-free ‘Alternative Rock’ @ RM26. Hubby & I shared the Wildberry Smoothie, which is a delicious frozen delight of fresh bananas, pina colada mix, orange juice & raspberry syrup, finished off with a slice of fresh pineapple. ★★★★☆

hard rock cafe penang double berry cooler
Jonathan picked the Double Berry Cooler, a refreshing cocktail made with raspberry syrup, cranberry juice & lemon-lime soda. ★★★★★

hard rock cafe penang cocktail glasses
With RM85 to spare, the happy boy gets to take home the Hard Rock Cafe Hurricane Glass as a souvenir.

hard rock cafe penang mushroom soup
Cream of Mushroom
Add a side Caesar or House Salad for RM15, or Soup of the Day for RM6 with your main course. A medley of delectable mushrooms & cream, paired with crispy garlic bread makes this starter a hearty home-made treat. ★★★★★

hard rock cafe penang chicken breast
Herb Grilled Chicken Breast @ RM32
While it’s not easy to cook up a nice tender chicken breast, the warmth personality & attentiveness of the service crew overshadowed any minor flaws in the kitchen. The boneless, marinated half-pound chicken turned out to be a disappointment as the meat was dry & tough, although credit must go to the rich & creamy tasty herb sauce with oven roasted mushrooms. ★★★☆☆

hard rock cafe penang blogger dining
Fish & Chips @ RM25
A classic American fillet of fish dipped in their special batter & deep-fried to golden brown.

hard rock cafe penang fish and chips
While the batter was nicely executed to a crisp, it was overly-salty for us. ★★★☆☆

hard rock cafe penang linguine
Grilled Mediterranean Shrimp Linguine @ RM32
The pasta comes with a choice of grilled jumbo shrimp or chicken breast. The scrumptious linguine, cooked in a light white wine garlic sauce was the highlight of our lunch treat. Must-try!!

hard rock cafe penang linguine review
Garnished with roasted red peppers, black olives etc, the Al Dente pasta was an elegant play of sweet & savoury which had my palate watering. ★★★★★

hard rock cafe penang facade
The goal of the cafe is not to challenge you with sophisticated gourmet or haute cuisines. Rather, they strive to create a pleasurable & entertaining experience for their guests with their friendly staff & superb service. Greeting each diner like an old friend, a 5-star rating goes to their team of staff with their unpretentious service & unorthodox attention!

  2. I rarely find restaurant with live band. Usually live band are available mainly in pub or lounge whereby they serve only finger food and drinks only. But the complete meal that you showed here really looks yummy especially the mushroom soup and linguine. The environment surely blends very well with their name....Hardrock Cafe really rocks!
