Cheap & Yummy Food at River Cafe, Casa Del Rio Melaka

Fancy having a steaming hot Claypot Noodles for just RM15 at a 5-star hotel? Thumbs-up to the flavourful Yee Mee Noodles, served with Prawns, Chicken, Mushroom & Vegetables in an Oyster Broth!

The casual River Cafe at Casa del Rio Melaka, offers light blackboard lunches, along with beers & wines to go with sports updates on their screen.

While I was enjoying my piping hot Noodles on the last day of my sponsored stay at the Exotic Casa Del Rio Melaka, The Latest Boutique Haven By HPL, Doris ordered the Kampong Fried Rice @ RM16. The spicy rice was accompanied by Fried Chicken Wing, Egg & Achar.

Doris probably saw me drooling over her Chicken Wing & offered me a bite. Gosh, the fragrant Nonya Chicken was so crispy & yummy; I just had to order for myself too!
To my dismay, the waiter told me the Chicken Wings @ RM12 was sold out!! I was so disappointed & "begged" him to check with the Chef if he could offer me just a couple. I was ecstatic when the Chef came back to me with "his last wing"! Yipee! Even the service at this small casual cafe is immaculate! I left after our meal. feeling satisfied; a happy woman! Rating: ★★★★★

When the evening falls, see the River Cafe transforms into a Wine & Sushi Bar that serves some delightfully fresh Seafood items that the seaside city of Melaka is famous for. You can also enjoy a Steamboat Dinner with your friends by the river. Whichever part of the hotel you are at, you'll be greeted by smiles & the friendliness of the people there.

Now, here's a chance for you to indulge in this 5-star experience. Head over to Giveaway: Luxurious Stay For 2 Worth RM1,000 At Casa Del Rio, Melaka & be the lucky winner!

  2. Hi Shirley, thanks for spending the evening at my place. It was wonderful to share a meal and chat about so many things with both of you :)

I really like the look of the claypot noodles and the service sounds fantastic. Maybe I should visit Malacca again - the last time I was there, I was still a teenager!
