Things To Do In Fremantle, Perth

Fremantle Market, situated in a grand old Victorian building, is a place to discover when you’re in Perth.

You can potter through the markets for souvenirs, gourmet delights, sample local seafood or be entertained by local buskers.

I found this delicious Potato snack @ A$3.80 a stick. It's one whole potato, twirled round a stick & deep-fried till crispy. Then, you’ve a choice of 6 spices to sprinkle on. It’s not cheap but it’s worth a try. Taste is good.

I also got myself a nice bottle of Truffle Oil at the market. Can’t wait to use this……

Fall in love with Fremantle’s maritime sunset whilst relaxing in picturesque surroundings, savouring fresh seafood catch, somewhat similar to San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf.

Located at the Fishing Boat Harbour is Kailis Fish Market, an Award-winning tourist restaurant. I was treated to a sumptuous Seafood Combo @ A$27 & Garlic Prawns @ A$19 by my pal, Joanna.
The seafood were nicely grilled & served with sides. It was a lovely meal; an excellent place to chill out. Don't forget to check out this harbourfront if you do visit Fremantle.

Others things to do in Fremantle:
- Hop onto a historic tram to discover Frementle's history on a self-guided trail.
- Visit Western Australian Maritime Museum.
- Sample beer at one of the micro-breweries.
- Enjoy coffee along the famous 'Cappucino Strip'.

  1. I've seen those potatoes twirled on a stick on TV before (one of the Food Network shows) and thought it was such a genius idea. Can't wait to see what you make with the truffle oil, Shirley. Looking at all that seafood without being able to have any is killing me. Glad to see you had a great time.

  2. Shirley, you had such great fun! Disney awhile ago and now Perth, Australia. Anniversary honeymoon, right! haha... Hope you're enjoying your day.
    Blessings, Kristy
