With the Basil that I'd bought, I was thinking of cooking Pad Ga-prao for dinner, so I decided to try using the Kueh Pie Tee shells. What a perfect way to entertain guests, with a different touch!
300g Minced Pork
30g - 40g Thai Basil leaves
6 Kueh Pie Tee shells (optional)
2 tsp Fish sauce
½ tsp Dark Soya sauce
½ tsp Sugar
½ tsp Chilli peppers
- Remove stems from Basil. We’re just using the leaves. Rinse well.
- Sautéed garlic till fragrant. Add pork & break it up. Keep frying until pork starts to turn from pink to a uniform opaque colour.
- Add seasonings, sugar & chillies. Mix well & stir in basil leaves. Fry briefly & put about 2 tsp of the pork mixture into the shells & serve.
