Merry X’mas With Love From Singapore!

Christmas Eve is the day for family reunions. Many Christians traditionally celebrate a midnight mass on Christmas Eve, marking the beginning of Christmas Day. I’m not a Christian, but Christmas is occasion where I can whip up another decent meal for my loved ones.

This X'mas, there’s another additional to my family – her name is Candy. Candy is a 7 year-old #Shitzu, my brother-in-law’s “daughter”. Alex is currently bravely fighting against cancer & is too weak to take care of her. Hence, we decided to adopt her & give her the love she needs.

Jon has always wanted a dog. He’s overjoyed & more than happy to take care of Candy.

christmas funky chilled century egg tofu
We started our X'mas meal with a cold appetizer - Funky Chilled Century Egg Tofu. This is a special request from Jon. I’ve made this many times, for family & guests, & everyone loves it.
christmas baked cheesy bacon scallops
Next was a hot appetizer - Hot & juicy Baked Cheesy Bacon Scallops. This dish stole the limelight of the evening. All of us couldn’t get enough of it. I got these frozen scallops during a shopping trip with my students. You may wanna read about my adventure @ Seafood Bargains At Woodlands Terrace.

chilled earl grey pork loin, pasta capsicum cups
For the main, I paired these Wafu Spaghetti In Colourful Capscium Cups with Chilled Tender Earl Grey Pork Loin. Pasta is simple to make but the process of the pork is a little tedious. But it’s all worth the while. I was first introduced to this pork ages ago by my ex-boss, who is a Japanese. He brought it to the office during a X'mas lunch & I was immediately captivated by the taste & have since been making this.

christmas fruity tuttie pinwheels desserts
Desserts were cute little Fruitty Tuttie Pinwheels. They make perfect bites for any occasions.

All of us had a hearty meal & ended our night with Coffee Club's Hazelnut Coffee Log Cake from my bro.
