Learning About End Times Prophecy

Yesterday was another time of self-indulgence. I met up with an old friend & we’d so much fun talking about the good-old-days. Then, I was drawn to Sammy talking about End Times.

She said that we are rapidly moving towards the end of time. Events are approaching that will take this modern secular world completely by surprise. The End Times is NOW, & is coming to pass right before our very eyes, if we will only see & understand.

Sammy then referred me to this site to learn more about End Times Prophecy, which I thought I would share with you.

I sat at the café, like a child listening to a story-teller, patiently engaging in her interesting Bible Prophecy. Sammy is a Christian American, who grew up, both in her academic endeavors &personal spiritual journey, in an American Christian environment. She is my pen-pal of many years & this is about the 3rd time I’ve met her in person. I could see the sparkle in her eyes as she related her relationship with Christianity.

Armageddon, 666 Mark of the Beast, Great Tribulation, Babylon The Great & The Apocalypse etc. I’ve not heard them all but Armageddon & The Apocalypse may be familiar to some of you. These two titles were in the movies some time ago, so you may be able to relate a little what End Times Prophecy is briefly about.

It was an insightful outing indeed. It has been a long time since I last obediently listened to a tale. Are you familiar with the Bible Prophecy? What are your views on End Times Prophecy?

  1. Oh gosh, I don't even want to think about the end of time. Life is short, I don't want to think about it being shorter than it already is. I don't even have enough time in the day to do what I enjoy...lol.

  3. Yeah, this is definitely something I try not to think about. I prefer to live in the present and what comes to be, shall come to be =)

  4. Praise God that He has put prophecy on "your radar". Scripture tells us in many places that we should pay attention to prophecy. Of course, we must do so prayerfully and with a "level-headed" approach. People that do not address prophecy in such a manner sadly do more harm than good. We can't ignore its importance: I have seen some estimates that over 20% of the New Testament specifically addresses prophecy and have found that to be true in my personal studies.

Jesus Himself even warned us to pay attention many times. One of the many places is in Luke 21:36, where He said, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen...”. What makes that especially interesting is that He spoke those words after He warned us of many of the events that will happen in the end times. They are especially relevant to us today when we consider current headlines are now fulfilling Bible prophecy at an absolutely amazing rate-which is setting the stage for more ominous events to happen at any time. The signs are sometimes obvious, such as rumblings in the Middle East (especially with Israel), economic turmoil, shifts in geopolitical policy, earthquakes, signs from heaven, and more. At other times, the clues are more subtle, yet equally astounding to those who know Bible prophecy.

  5. It is quite fascinating for sure...there are many that predate Christianity as well. They all seem to mount to the inevitability of us as humans destroying ourselves and our planet. However on a good note, we as humans have a great capacity for good as well and today we are able to actually care for people and what is happening in our world, no matter how far away.
Life is beautiful when we make it so :)
